Simply Chalpal Shares Her Designer Maternity Clothesline Club Looks

Posted by Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment on

Motherhood Closet - Maternity Consignment is so excited to share with you Simply Chalpal blog post were she features her very stylish maternity looks that she borrowed from's Clothesline Club

Here is what Simply Chalpal had to say:

I am SO excited to tell you about my new partnership with Motherhood Closet. For those of you who haven’t heard of it before, is an online maternity consignment boutique featuring some of the best designers. You can purchase items brand new, used, or (you won’t believe this one) RENT gently used maternity pieces at affordable prices. Let’s face it. We aren’t pregnant forever, so what’s the use in purchasing bulk loads of maternity clothes that you may not ever wear again? Nonetheless, us preggo gals still want to be cute and fashionable during the time being. has us covered! As mentioned, you can purchase new or gently used pieces or you can join ‘The Clothesline Club’ and rent pieces which are to be returned. I decided to join the club!

Look #1 : Leota New York, Exclusively for A Pea in the Pod Maternity Abstract Print Dress

-Let me just start by saying I received soooo many compliments on this dress! People could not believe it was a maternity piece (thanks to modern maternity fashion design). Gone are the days where us preggo ladies have to wear bag-like dresses that do everything but flatter and accentuate our curves! The material of this dress was to die for and the side ruching allowed for just the amount of stretch needed to cover my growing bump.

-It was recommended that I accessorize with an orange beaded necklace to give a pop of color and draw out the orange. Necklace compliments of my Mommy’s closet. (Thanks Ma!)

-I also chose to pair these camel studded wedges from Charlotte Russe with my ensemble. They match perfectly with my cross body bag too. #Winning

Look #2 : James Perse Casual White Dress

-When the term “comfort is key” was coined, this dress had to be the point of reference. I actually just wore this dress this past Sunday for church, brunch, and to attend my classmate’s baby shower in Louisiana. Talk about versatility! This is a spin on your typical shirt dress as it adds a drawstring waist that can be tied below the belly. This is definitely a piece that can grow with you throughout pregnancy. In your early trimesters, you can simply drape the excess material over the drawstring or if you’re further along or a little plumper (like myself), you can appreciate the much-needed extra fabric in trimester 3.

-I decided to add a little of my Louisiana / Texas gal flair by finishing this look with a good ‘ole pair of cowgirl boots.

-I did have to wear a pair of black maternity tights under this dress as it was somewhat transparent.

By the way, who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? I’m pretty sure that whoever made that rule knew that it was made to be broken.

Look #3 : ASOS Embellished Maternity Dress

-The first piece featured in this article is a peach scuba A-line dress with an embellished neckline from Asos Maternity. The quality of this piece is to die for! Period. End of story.
